The Theater Department at ASU-Beebe recently received a generous donation for microphones from local business owner, Jesse Boyce, following a recent theater production of the Broadway musical “Pipe Dream.”
Boyce said, “Watching Brooke Nixon and her classmates put on such a wonderful, and obviously labor intensive production, makes me very proud of these talented young students. I am honored to help support such a wonderful thing for our city. Once again, ASU-Beebe has helped make Beebe a great place to live and work.”
Those attending the presentation were: Jason McCoy, of Beebe; Bobbie Boyce and her daughter Rylie; Dr. Jennifer Methvin, ASU-Beebe Chancellor; Ryan Gibbons, Director of the Theater Department; Brooke Nixon, of Bald Knob; Jesse Boyce; Rose Mary Jackson, Associate Vice Chancellor of Institutional Advancement; Andrea Cole, Development Officer/Major Gifts; Miraya Gerardo-Munguia, of Searcy; and Tremere Shell, of Searcy.
Boyce owns B-Fit 24/7 Fitness Center in Beebe, and has been the owner and president of BCC Freight Haulers, Inc. for 14 years.
Andrea Cole, ASU-Beebe Development Officer/Major Gifts, said: “We’re grateful for Jesse Boyce’s generosity and stepping forward to assist us with a need to benefit the students in the theater program.”
